Join our dedicated Hospice team at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence (KFHR), where compassion and clinical excellence meet. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll provide direct patient care and play a leadership role in ensuring comfort, dignity, and support for patients and their families during a critical time in their lives.

Join our overnight team!

Schedule: Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00pm - 7:30am, which includes every other weekend rotation.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver exceptional, compassionate care to hospice patients within our residence.
• Supervise LPNs and Home Health Aides, ensuring quality care and optimal staffing.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to manage symptoms and pain effectively.
• Perform accurate assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, maintain IV access devices, and operate clinical equipment.
• Serve as a resource and leader for your shift, assisting staff with clinical and operational concerns.
• Ensure documentation meets compliance standards and reflects accurate clinical care.
• Coordinate care with physicians, facilities, and families while upholding the hospice philosophy.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; current NYS RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Hospice or palliative care certification a plus (but not required).
• Strong clinical assessment skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to compassionate care.
