Job Description Summary
Under the guidance of the Director of Staff Development. The Staff Development Educator will be responsible for helping to create and facilitate staff development, community education, and teach orientation sessions. Responsible for supporting the learning management system, educational events, and project management.
Essential Functions
Provides project management support for new staff development initiatives led by the Education Department.
Coordinates ongoing staff development opportunities through the generation of electronic promotional material, room reservation and set up, PowerPoint presentation creation, and other related materials.
Maintains the training materials stored on the organization’s intranet and learning management system. Supports staff members in accessing this information when questions arise.
Assist with the Annual Review program for all staff and trained volunteers.
Coordinates external education opportunities for organization.
Assists with facilitation of volunteer training as needed.
Assists with orientation sessions as needed.

Acts to ensure that quality, integrity, and professionalism are valued and maintained and adheres to organizational expectations for professional conduct.
Works to assure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and the requirements of certifying and accrediting bodies.

Performs Other Related Functions As Assigned.
Maintains regular and timely attendance.
Qualifications
Registered nurse degree from an accredited school of nursing required, as well as current RN licensure in state of Pennsylvania.
Experience, training, and demonstrated skills in the areas of health care preferred.
Experience and demonstrated skills in business organization, communication, independent project coordination, innovative thinking, problem-solving, training and education, and development of effective course structures and presentations required.
Able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language and to collaborate cooperatively with other staff.
Computer experience required with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing. Experience with a learning management system (LMS) preferred. Able to operate and utilize general office equipment, including a personal computer, fax machine, copier, calculator, smartphone, and telephone services.
Able to operate audio/visual equipment, including television, projector, and video camera.
Able to lift to forty pounds and climb a small ladder or utilize a step stool.
As an exempt employee, must be willing to work the necessary hours to meet job requirements.
