Clinical Secretary- Inpatient Center
Full Time, 40 hrs.
7am - 3:30pm
2 holidays per year
No weekends
Essential Functions
- Assures all guests are welcomed and incoming calls are courteously received.
- Provides secretarial functions such as faxing, typing, and copying.
- Maintains and distributes Inpatient Center (IPC) daily census in a timely fashion.
- Prepares admission packets.
- Prepares IPC charts at time of transfer and completes chart upon death or transfer to another facility.
- Assists with follow up calls and details of death and transfer checklists as requested.
- Communicates effectively with organizational staff, physicians, patients, visitors, outside contractors and community agencies.
- Maintains adequate supplies of all Inpatient Center forms and booklets.
- Serves as liaison with medical records department
- Provides secretarial assistance to staff.
- Maintains professional boundaries.
- Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential job function.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of office, clerical or administrative experience required
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills required.
