Hospice RN Clinical Excellence Educator

WV Caring is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse Clinical Excellence Educator to help shape the future of hospice care throughout North Central West Virginia.
This position is ideal for an accomplished hospice nurse who is passionate about developing others, promoting clinical excellence, and ensuring patients and families receive the highest quality end-of-life care. As a key clinical leader, you will mentor staff, support quality initiatives, provide education, and help build a culture of accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
- Lead orientation and onboarding for new clinical team members.
- Develop and deliver engaging educational programs for nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Promote and uphold clinical excellence through coaching, mentoring, and competency validation.
- Educate staff on hospice philosophy, symptom management, end-of-life care, communication, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice throughout the organization.
- Conduct clinical audits, observations, and performance reviews to identify educational opportunities.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff across multiple offices and service areas.
- Assist with operational and patient care support as needed, including occasional weekends and special projects.
- Stay current with hospice regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum three years of hospice, palliative care, home health, or related clinical experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, teaching, or preceptor experience preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to excellence, accountability, and compassionate care.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- CHPN certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
