The Medical Social Worker (MSW) assists the physician and other team members in understanding significant social and emotional factors related to health problems.
- Provide social casework to individuals and families receiving nursing or other services.
- Assess a family's financial situation and refer to an Agency for financial assistance if indicated.
- Respond to referrals for casework and provide service as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, current licensure, and proficiency in clinical skills. They must also be available during agency operating hours and possess excellent communication skills.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school
- Current Social Worker License in the state of practice
- Proficiency in clinical skills
