Job Summary
The Stem Cell Research Director will lead and manage all aspects of stem cell research initiatives with a primary focus on driving innovative product development and generating revenue streams. This strategic role requires a visionary leader who can bridge cutting-edge science with commercial opportunities, ensuring that research efforts align with business objectives and market demand.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, train, and develop research and product development staff
Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management
Establish goals and ensure alignment with organizational strategy
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and compliance
Duties / Responsibilities
Direct and oversee stem cell research programs focused on commercialization
Identify and prioritize product development opportunities based on scientific and market viability
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, regulatory, business development, and marketing teams
Develop and execute strategies to generate revenue through product launches, partnerships, and grants
Establish external partnerships with academic, clinical, and industry stakeholders
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage
Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and legal standards
Lead translation of research into marketable therapies and products
Mentor and develop scientific staff to drive innovation and performance
Ensure awareness and application of the Stem Cell Freedom Act, including production requirements prior to full FDA clearance
Education / Certifications / Licenses
Ph.D. or equivalent in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or related field
Additional business or commercialization training (MBA preferred but not required)
Relevant certifications in biotech, clinical research, or regulatory affairs (preferred)
Preferred Certifications
Certifications in healthcare leadership or management such as Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE) or similar credentials.
Experience
7–10 years in stem cell research or regenerative medicine
Proven experience translating research into commercial products
Demonstrated success in revenue generation (product launches, grants, partnerships)
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
Strong knowledge of regulatory and commercialization pathways
Required Skills / Abilities
Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities
Deep understanding of stem cell biology and translational science
Commercial acumen with ability to drive revenue
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Salary : $140,000 - $215,000
