Job Overview:
We are seeking a Gardener to join our Garden Care Team. The Gardener will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty and health of client's gardens, lawns, and landscapes.
Our gardeners work at mostly residential gardens completing the following for our clients:
- Weeding
- Pruning trees and shrubs
- Relocating/transplanting perennials
- Installing new gardens
- Watering plants and using irrigation systems effectively
- Applying organic amendments and pest prevention
- Adding borders to garden beds
- Laying compost and mulch
- Installing posts and wire fencing to protect young plants
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with a range of plants - perennials (native and non native), trees, shrubs, herbs vegetables and annuals) and able to distinguish and address common weeds.
-Able to identify native vs non-native plants
- Knowledge and experience pruning shrubs and small trees
- Knowledge of watering and amendments to maintain plant health
- Ability to work in all conditions (heat, rain)
- Ability to work with a variety of hand tools efficiently
- Familiarity with organic plant care
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Previous experience working on a farm or gardens beneficial
The successful candidate will be a collaborative and reliable team member who enjoys problem solving and the joy of physical labor. They will be passionate about plants, an acute observer, and always eager to learn more.
We are a growing plant nursery and garden shop located in the St. Croix River Valley. We service residential gardens in the valley as well as the Twin Cities metro area. We are currently hiring for a part-time position for 2026 season with an opportunity to grow skills and hours as the season progresses and in future years.
