Key Responsibilities
- Offer companionship through conversation, reading, playing games, or simply being present.
- Assist residents with non-clinical activities of daily living such as light housekeeping, meal companionship, and walking support.
- Accompany residents to activities and appointments within the facility.
- Promote emotional well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
- Communicate any changes in behavior or condition to nursing staff.
- Support residents’ dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Genuine passion for working with seniors.
- Patience, empathy, and a warm personality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in a caregiving, hospitality, or healthcare environment
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions from care staff.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
