[This position is responsible for providing superior service to Horseshoe Casinos guests by seeking out opportunities to be of service and by maintaining highly visible patrols to ensure a safe gaming experience, by assuring quality support to other departments so that they may serve guests more effectively. The Security Officer is responsible for proactively maintaining public order, enforcing safety rules, protecting property and assets, and investigating disturbances in the casino and surrounding property areas.
- [ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and employees.
- Gives directions and provides escort to customers in need.
- Provides assistance to law enforcement authorities, including testimony in criminal and administrative proceedings as necessary.
- Provides security presence for chip fills, jackpot verifications, and other actions related to gaming.
- Provides escorts of money and persons in money-handling positions.
- Provides first aid when necessary.
- Patrols all sections of the property to identify safety hazards and suspicious circumstances, taking appropriate action as required.
- Interviews investigate and documents all relevant incidents in accordance with Horseshoe Casino Security policy.
- Makes lost and found reports.
- Makes necessary reports including detailed descriptions of people and incidents.
- Enforces Horseshoe Casino policies and procedures.
- Meets attendance guidelines of the position and adheres to regulatory and departmental policies and procedures.
