Laundry & Equipment Mechanic
Position Summary
Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a Laundry & Equipment Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install commercial laundry and food service equipment throughout the resort. This position is responsible for ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime, supporting daily resort operations, and maintaining preventative maintenance programs for critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, folders, and related systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen and food service equipment as assigned.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and operational issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and calibrating equipment.
- Repair or replace defective components and parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Test equipment to verify proper operation and performance.
- Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and service calls.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and parts inventories.
- Coordinate with department leaders to minimize operational disruptions.
- Follow all OSHA, company safety, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience repairing and maintaining commercial laundry equipment.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and troubleshooting practices.
- Ability to read technical manuals and equipment specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Two (2) or more years of experience repairing commercial laundry and kitchen equipment.
- Experience in a hotel, resort, healthcare, or large commercial facility environment.
- Technical certifications related to industrial maintenance, electrical systems, HVAC, or commercial equipment repair.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to respond to urgent operational equipment needs.
- Flexible schedule based on business demands.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to safely work around electrical, gas, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
