Position Overview
Horseheads Mall is seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused New York State Licensed Security Guard to join our security team. This position provides overnight security coverage for the mall property, ensuring a safe and secure environment for tenants, contractors, and visitors.
Schedule
Part-Time
- Saturday: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM (0000-0800)
- Sunday: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM (0000-0800)
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior mall property.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
- Complete daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Assist local law enforcement, fire, and emergency responders when required.
- Secure entrances, common areas, and parking lots during overnight hours.
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Security Guard License (Required).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Prior mall, retail, commercial, or private security experience preferred.
