About the Position
Dishwashers are essential to keeping the kitchen running efficiently. This position is responsible for washing and organizing all kitchen and bar dishes, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dish area, and assisting with basic prep and cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate is punctual, focused, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment and sanitize all dishware and cookware.
- Keep the dish area clean, organized, and free of clutter throughout the shift.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic prep tasks as needed.
- Maintain floors, trash areas, and overall back-of-house cleanliness.
- Transport dishes from the bar and dining room to the dish station.
- Rotate and take out trash and recycling during and after shifts.
- Handle cleaning chemicals properly and follow all safety protocols.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time

Minimum Requirements
- Experience in a professional kitchen preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- California Food Handler’s Card required.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
