Gettysburg, PA Part Time
POSTED ON 8/3/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/1/2026

Come join our team and help lead our guests on horseback and in carriages across historic Civil War roads and trails in Gettysburg.

If you enjoy being outside and working with horses and like to provide exceptional and safe customer service, you may be who we are looking for. Our tours are led by Licensed Battlefield Guides. They take care of the history – you take care of the guests and the horses!

Seeking candidates who have current experience working with horses (either riding or driving), are physically able to handle barn tasks such as saddling, feeding, grooming, and can lift at least 50 pounds.

Our flexible schedules make this job a good fit for anyone who wants to supplement their income, retirees, and horse lovers looking to get back in the saddle (or carriage) again!

A Horse Tours of Gettysburg (HTG) employee must be a responsible team player with excellent horsemanship skills. All personnel must have an outgoing personality and provide first-class customer service while maintaining a “safety first” state of mind while working.

This includes feeding, loading, grooming, and maintaining a clean and organized trailer and trail work area. You will assist guests prior to and during rides/drives, adjusting cinches and tack, and helping guests safely mount their horses using a mounting block and enter/exit the carriage. You will be responsible for the safekeeping of HTG equipment during work hours.

Wranglers and Drivers will be provided the necessary training to competently complete the job responsibilities.
