Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and professional appearance of assigned facilities to ensure the safety, health, and high morale of guests and employees.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs duties including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping, window washing, restroom cleaning, trash removal, polishing of metal work, office cleaning, and dusting.
- Follows approved cleaning practices with proper chemicals within SDS guidelines.
- Stock housekeeping supplies when delivered, keep closets stocked and organized.
- Operate and properly maintain cleaning equipment.
- Cleaning and disposal of biohazard material according to Occupational Safety and health Administration guidelines.
- Answer or direct customer inquiries to the appropriate department when necessary.
- Expected to take initiative to immediately clean or correct problem areas.
- Reports emergencies and maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures/chemicals/cleaning equipment as it relates to SDS.
- Ability to understand health and safety regulations and requirements.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience as a cleaner in EVS or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
- Employees must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Wyoming Horse Racing offer medical, dental and vision insurance as well as paid time off and signing bonus. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen. Starting pay $17.00/hour.
