Duties
- Safely handle and care for horses and other farm animals, ensuring their health and well-being through regular feeding, grooming, and veterinary checks
- Assist with riding lessons, training sessions, and equestrian events by preparing horses and managing equipment
- Supervise or assist with feeding schedules, manure removal, fencing repairs, and animal husbandry practices
- Maintain cleanliness of barns, stables, riding arenas, and outdoor areas while adhering to safety protocols
- Support manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or moving equipment or materials around the farm or barnyard
Qualifications
- Proven experience in animal care with a focus on horses or livestock management; equine experience is highly valued
- Supervising experience or leadership skills in farm or barn settings are advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in outdoor environments
- Familiarity with safety standards in farming operations to ensure a secure working environment
- Basic math skills for inventory management or equipment calibration; experience with animal husbandry practices is a plus
