Description:
Manufacturing Associates assemble machines using hands-on mechanical skills and standard shop tools while meeting safety, quality, and production standards. Experience in the agricultural equipment industry – especially operating, assembling, or servicing tillage, planting, and seeding equipment – is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assemble machines efficiently while meeting company quality standards.
· Read, interpret, and follow engineering prints, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
· Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S).
· Properly use and care for company tools and equipment.
· Train and become certified to operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment as needed.
· Follow all quality standards, checks, and procedures; report defects or concerns promptly.
· Assist with parts picking and staging as needed.
· Assist with material handling and moving components as needed.
· Assist with machine tear-downs/prep for shipping as needed.
Position Requirements:
· Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
· Strong organizational and time-management skills
· Basic computer skills (ability to open and use Word, Excel, and PDF documents)
· Self-motivated and goal-oriented
· Ability to follow direction from supervisors and work instructions
· Ability to use good judgment and make decisions with minimal supervision when needed
· Teamwork-oriented with a positive, dependable attitude
Physical/Work Environment:
- Individuals may need to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods.
- The position may require reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting techniques are required.
- The performance of this position will require exposure to manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses with side shields, is required.
