We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Survey Technician Intern for a field-intensive seasonal position. As a Survey Technician Intern, you will have the opportunity to be involved in large, multi-discipline projects while developing diverse skill sets.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Work under the direction of Survey Crew Chief to accomplish daily tasks including, but not limited to:
- Set up and operate GPS, total stations, data collectors, and other conventional survey equipment
- Perform boundary, topographic, control, and construction layout surveys
- Maintain accurate field notes and data records
- Maintain survey equipment and vehicles
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Pursuing a degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Basic understanding of survey principles, and familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and Trimble equipment/software is preferred
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License is a plus
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods (potential for 40 hour work weeks)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on uneven terrain
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain required safety certifications (MSHA)
