Local/City Tractor Trailer Driver - Part Time/On call Day shift

Part Time Afternoon/Evening local tractor trailer driver. Paid weekly. On call/Part Time. Most days will be scheduled in advance to cover for vacations. Extra peak season availability a plus (Oct/Nov/Dec) . Opportunity for full time when growth or opening becomes available.

Pittsburgh/Western PA local

Qualify to haul for FedEx Ground

Route/Activity - Truck drivers are responsible for delivering trailers. No touch cargo. Drop and Hook.

Shift - On call. Casual year round schedule covering vacations or extra work. Extra peak season availability preferred.

Equipment – Late model Day Cabs. Automatic/Automated transmission

Compensation - Per hour

Responsibilities:

-Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment.
-Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
-Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.
-Primary interface with the customer or company driver at cross dock or swap point
Job Qualifications:

-CDL Class A license required w/ Doubles Endorsement
-1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 3 years
-3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents
-Reliable and customer oriented
-Safety oriented
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
