Job Description & Responsibilities :
Summary / Primary Role: The Senior Accountant will perform various general accounting functions, including month-end closing, for the Transport & Warehouse division. These responsibilities require the Senior Accountant to work closely with the Operations Accounting group. The Senior Accountant prepares certain journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations during the monthly and annual closings. They will complete ad hoc projects under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Finance & Accounting.
Key Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Hands-on experience with fixed assets, including capitalization and depreciation required; roll-forward experience preferred
- Experience managing accounting activities across multiple entities, locations, or accounts
- Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred; other ERP systems will be considered
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Experience performing intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Fixed asset accounting, including capitalization and depreciation
- Extensive experience with intercompany reconciliations is required, as this role will support multiple business units
- Strong advanced Excel skills are essential, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and overall data analysis
- Reconcile intercompany accounts receivable/payable accounts between the Company’s entities each month-end.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review operational results of international business units.
- Work with external auditors to supply data and reporting as needed for requests related to assigned areas.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
Qualifications and Key Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 4-6 years’ experience in the general accounting function required
- Solid knowledge of General Accounting Principles is required
- Experience with Oracle Fusion software is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products, especially strong Excel skills, including the ability to use the V Lookup function and Pivot Tables
- Ability to extract data with system queries
