Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Supervisor to lead and coordinate field teams in civil engineering, land surveying, and construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other drafting and surveying tools. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring project accuracy, and maintaining safety standards. The Crew Supervisor will play a vital role in data collection, schematics development and project execution to meet client specifications and industry standards.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate field crews engaged in land surveying, construction and data collection activities.
- Oversee the use of GPS equipment and other surveying tools to ensure precise data acquisition.
- Review and interpret schematics, ALTA surveys and construction plans utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Carlson software.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all project phases.
- Assign tasks based on technical requirements such as trigonometry, geometry, algebra and civil engineering principles.
- Utilize platforms like for spatial analysis and mapping tasks.
- Manage project documentation including land surveys, schematics and reports while maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure project specifications are met within designated timelines.
- Provide mentorship to team members on GPS data collection and survey procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in civil engineering supervision or land surveying roles.
- Knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson and Schematics.
- Familiarity with GPS technology like Leica for precise data collection.
- Solid understanding of land surveying methods including surveys and construction staking.
- Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of math fundamentals including trigonometry, geometry, algebra and general math principles relevant to civil projects.
- Experience with grading design is helpful.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in project documentation and reporting.
