Job Overview
We are seeking an Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate is preferred to have a strong background in both industrial and commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency with various tools and techniques, but is not required. This position can provide the necessary training and education to fulfill this role. This role involves working on construction sites, reading blueprints and schematics, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Conduct low voltage and high voltage electrical work as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of wiring systems. Can be taught through training.
- Perform troubleshooting using ammeters and ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician in both industrial and commercial settings is preferred. **But not mandatory.**
- Familiarity with electrical systems, construction practices, and safety regulations.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Experience reading blueprints and schematics preferred but not mandatory. Can be taught through training.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry is a plus but not required.
