Team Leader – Papillion Foods (Hormel Foods)
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Facility: Papillion Foods (535,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art plant)
Papillion Foods produces premium salami and dry sausage products under the Columbus® Craft Meats brand, along with iconic Hormel® products such as Hormel Pepperoni and Black Label Bacon. This modern facility features advanced sustainability initiatives, including automated guided vehicles, ergonomic lifting systems, and energy-efficient LED lighting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support team members in daily plant operations
- Drive production and quality performance goals
- Ensure proper staffing, materials, and equipment availability
- Support continuous improvement in:
- Safety
- Quality
- Cost
- Customer service
- Foster an engaged, team-oriented work environment
- Spend ~80% of time on the production floor
- ***** SHIFT IS CURRENTLY PENDING***** QUALIFIED CANDIDATE SHOULD BE OPEN TO 1ST OR 2ND SHIFT.
Qualifications
Required
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- 18 years or older
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and initiative skills
Preferred
- Experience in production or food manufacturing
- Prior leadership roles (Shift Lead, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, etc.
Work Environment
- Temperature ranges from below 40°F to above 60°F
- Fast-paced production setting
- Extended hours, including weekends, may be required
