Responsibilities & Duties:
- Meet daily minimum product quality requirements as established by the QS audit and TQR manual
- Place product on hold or release, print hold reports, and perform inventory hold checks in KWIC and SAP inventory systems
- Conduct quality assessments of plant wide operations through in-process and finished goods testing
- Conduct weight testing, oxygen analyses, salt testing, leaker testing evaluate package integrity, product appearance, flavor blend analyses and color evaluations
- Read weight scales, detect leaking bags/cans through analytical and physical testing, and read thermometer
- Record all results through documentation and computer data entry
- Calibrate and conduct testing using dicromat, oxygen analyzer, top-loading scales, hunter colorimeter, negative pressure leak unit, positive pressure testing PTI leak tester
- Retrieve cases of “held” finished goods and test according to Q.S. audit procedures
- Assist in special projects, and test requests
- Support plant high performance culture and continuous improvement programs through active participation in QRMP and plant productivity programs
- Comply and actively participate in all safety and environmental ORM policies, procedures and programs
- Comply with all QCMS program requirements including HACCP and GMPs
- Perform area housekeeping duties
- Perform all tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Must have and maintain a good attendance record
- Must become TQR qualified
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Must be able to move up to 30 pounds
- Must be Forklift Certified
