MAINTENANCE MECHANIC "A"
Reports to the Maintenance Manager for job assignments or directions. This is a responsible position with limited supervision to be expected.
Work Shift: 10pm to 6:30am. Pay Range $25.23 - $26.73 plus shift differential.
PRIMARY DUTIES: General Plant Maintenance troubleshoot and work on machinery and equipment, product conveyors, production and robotic packaging machinery, and all related systems. Servicing and repairing all plant equipment as necessary or as directed. Required to work in all areas of the plant. Overtime and weekends work shifts may be required.
JOB SKILLS: (Not all inclusive) Must have good working knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the following areas: A. Mechanical--- Conveyor systems, packaging machinery, pumps, gear reduction boxes, air systems, boilers, air handling systems, sorters, processing machinery, bearings, pulleys, chains, lubrication and preventative breakdown skills
B. Electrical--- Trouble-shoot primary electrical systems. Remove and replace motors, starters, relays, limit switches, sensors, fuses, and primary control components, motor drives, proxy sensors, photo eyes, and ability to troubleshoot electronic components, and power supplies including breakers.
