Foodservice Marketing Internship

Job Purpose: Marketing Intern will gain real world experience for a Brand Management Marketing intern in our Foodservice Marketing division working with a variety of our well known brands!

Foodservice Marketing
The Foodservice Group is responsible for the sales and marketing of all products to both commercial and non-commercial foodservice operations.  The primary customer is the foodservice distributor, who buys our products and re-distributes them to foodservice operators such as restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals, etc.  You will spend much of your time supporting sales teams, usage ideas, and merchandising ideas to the operators, and helping educate distributor personnel on why they should be selling Hormel products.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Operator and Channel Research 
• Support Sales Enablement Tools 
• Assist in B2B Marketing Campaigns 
• Collaborate on Product Launches and Demos 

Required Qualifications:

• Must graduate in  August 2027, December 2027, May 2028 and major in Food Marketing, Marketing, Professional Selling, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management or relevant degree program with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
• Possesses strong analytical and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership and persuasive skills are necessary for success in this position
• Possesses a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit
• Interest in sales and sales roles is preferred
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
• Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa
• Must be comfortable with the preparation and consumption of a variety of Hormel Foods Products which may include but not limited to pork, beef, chicken, turkey and nuts

Hours

This is a temporary, full-time, hourly position. Interns can expect to work approximately 40 hours per week and may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. 

Location(s) 

• Position is based out of our Corporate Office headquarters in Austin, Minnesota
• Position is approximately 40 hours per week beginning late May and ending mid-August
• Hormel Foods does not currently offer remote internship opportunities.

• Competitive hourly pay of $24.50 paid on a weekly basis
