What are the responsibilities and job description for the Burke - Production Laborer 2nd Shift position at Hormel Foods Family of Companies?
Shifts Interviewing for: 4:00pm to 2:00am & 1:25pm to 10:30pm
Monday through Friday, Weekends as Production Schedule Requires
Pay Rate: $21.69 per hour $1 Shift Differential
All team members must abide by all of Burke's Plant Safety Rules!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performing repetitive tasks associated with the packaging of meat products
Inspecting product quality, assembling boxes, filling bags with meat, sealing bags, weighing bags, and may have to palletize by hand.
Supplies meat to the Grindroom from the meat receiving coolers via palletjack
Inspect product
Grinds meat
Removes pallets and trash from the Grindroom
Operates a metal detector belt and auger
Assist with the coordination and running of a food processing line
Ability to learn and perform multiple positions (Training will be provided)
Work in temperatures 40–50 degrees and 32 degrees in the cooler
Being able to operate an electric pallet jack (In-house training provided)
Ability to work in an environment that is fast paced
Being able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to do repetitive tasks
Standing, walking, pushing, lifting, bending, stepping up and down
Operating food processing equipment
Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
Fill in for other plant positions as necessary (Additional pay provided for higher pay grade position)
Basic Math skills
Perform any and all duties assigned by Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6 months of work history
- Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Must be 18 years of age or older (all plant positions)
