Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver large, coarse-grained platform features and technical capabilities from concept through implementation
- Support the ongoing modernization of internal deployment tooling and platform services
- Work across the stack to build, enhance, and maintain application features
- Break down complex technical problems into actionable work and define clear acceptance criteria
- Partner with engineering teammates to improve delivery processes and platform reliability
- Help onboard, coach, and support junior engineers through knowledge sharing and collaboration
- Contribute to a team culture centered on clear communication, accountability, and continuous improvement
- 5 years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent experience with a bachelor’s degree
- 5 years of application development experience
- 3 years of full stack application development experience
- Strong experience with Ruby or another object-oriented programming language
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while managing complex work
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to define practical acceptance criteria
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience with GitHub Actions
- Background in cloud infrastructure or platform operations
- AWS administration experience
- Familiarity with AWS EKS and Argo CD
- Experience using AI tools such as Copilot for software development
- Ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineers
