Position Summary
HORIZONS Conference Center is currently seeking an outgoing and enthusiastic Laundry Supervisor to lead our laundry team. The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for running the Laundry Department’s day-to-day operations and working side-by-side with the laundry team to deliver excellent guest experience while managing inventory, supplier relationships, and ordering. Additional responsibilities include training, performance evaluations, scheduling and supervising the personnel within the department.

Required Qualifications
· Knowledge of processes, chemicals, and equipment associated with laundry services.
- Two years of general laundry experience.
- Two to three years of experience managing entry-level employees.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable and ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues
- High School or equivalent education required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following:
· Developing and putting into operation the current system and technical advancement in the field of laundry operations.
· Formulating washing formula for stained loads.
· Ensuring the washing of linen as per standard.
· Manage the maintenance and upkeep of all laundry equipment.
· Coordinating with the Maintenance Department about routine maintenance of the equipment.
· Oversee the laundry equipment preventive maintenance program.
· Develop new methods for increasing laundry efficiency.
· Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for outstanding repairs of machinery.
· Lead and supervise the Laundry Department.
· Coordinate with supporting departments.
· Make recommendations and reports when required.
· Approve distribution of linen to food and beverage departments.
· Direct and train all Laundry staff.
· Create the Laundry staff schedule.
· Organize training for the Laundry staff.
· Hire new Laundry staff.
· Attend weekly departmental meeting with supervisors.
· Provide services and perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Director.
