Teacher’s Assistant

Horizon Staffing Solutions is seeking Teacher’s Assistants for on-going and substitute coverage for the school year. TAs will assist classroom teachers in providing extra support to students with special needs while promoting maximum academic and personal growth. The job responsibilities range from supplementing regular classroom curriculum to helping individual students.

- Work Full time or part time
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students
- Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class
- Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
- Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
- Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans
- Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration
Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a classroom setting as a Teacher's Assistant, Teacher Aide, or Paraprofessional
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
