Horizon Staffing is hiring compassionate and dependable Nursing Assistants to work overnight at a residential eating disorder treatment facility serving children and adolescents in Chester, NJ. If you're passionate about helping young people in a supportive healthcare environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene and daily routines.
- Perform routine patient observations and overnight safety checks.
- Obtain and document vital signs.
- Support patients during meals, snacks, and evening routines following treatment guidelines.
- Conduct patient observations, including bathroom monitoring, in accordance with facility policies.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' physical or emotional condition to the nursing team.
- Provide compassionate support while promoting a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
- Complete accurate documentation and communicate effectively during shift change.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children, adolescents, or in a healthcare, residential, or patient care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist patients throughout a 12-hour shift.
- CPR/BLS certification is a plus.
