Lead Protocol Engineer – Crypto × Private Equity

We’re a $26M-funded crypto private equity fund that buys and transforms legacy businesses (telecom, payments, fintech) in Latin America and beyond — turning them into blockchain-native powerhouses and onboarding the next billion users without them ever touching a wallet.

We need our first true engineering leader to own the end-to-end technical strategy:

• Launch and run our sovereign Avalanche L1 chain (out-of-the-box subnet — no ground-up consensus work).
• Build the invisible fintech layer (wallets, bridges, mobile UX) that makes crypto feel like Stripe or Nubank.
• Lead technical diligence and post-acquisition integration for $50M–$500M revenue businesses.
• Hire and scale the engineering team (bring your own lieutenants if you want).

You:

• Shipped massive consumer or enterprise fintech/payments products at Stripe, Robinhood, Revolut, Klarna, PayPal, Affirm, Chime, Wise, Nubank, Brex, Ramp, Plaid (or Forward-Deployed at Palantir).
• Are crypto-native and believe blockchain eats legacy finance.
• Love being in the room with CEOs, running deal diligence, and making complex tech feel magically simple.
• Want co-founder energy: high ownership, low ego, ready to build from first principles.
