Summary
We are seeking an Intervention Specialist to join our team at Horizon Science Academy of Lorain. In this role, you will work closely with students who require additional support to succeed academically. Your expertise will help foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and achievement.
Responsibilities
- Provide targeted interventions for students needing additional academic support.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create effective learning strategies.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Conduct assessments to identify student strengths and areas for improvement.
- Facilitate communication between parents, teachers, and administration regarding student progress.
- Assist in the development of curriculum that meets diverse learner needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid teaching license or certification as an Intervention Specialist.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and academic interventions.
- Experience working with diverse student populations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
