Position Summary
Horizon Science Academy is seeking a dependable, organized, and enthusiastic Before & After School Program Supervisor to oversee our school-age childcare program. This individual will create a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for students while supervising staff, communicating with families, and ensuring the daily operation of the program runs smoothly.

Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
- Before School: 6:45 a.m. – 7:40 a.m.
- After School: 3:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday
- After School Only: 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Additional hours for planning, meetings, or training may be available as needed.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the Before & After School Program.
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans, enrichment activities, and recreational opportunities for students.
- Develop monthly activity calendars that provide a variety of educational and hands-on experiences.
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student participation, behavior, and program updates.
- Schedule and coordinate all before and after school program staff to ensure appropriate daily coverage.
- Supervise, support, and provide guidance to program staff.
- Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and program documentation.
- Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with school administration and staff to support student success.
Qualifications
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in education, child development, recreation, or a related field is preferred.
- Must successfully complete required background checks.
