What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intervention Specialist- Dayton/Cincinnati position at Horizon Science Academy Dayton Elementary?
Horizon Science Academy Cincinnati/Dayton is looking for a Intervention Specialists to join our team for the 26-27 School Year.
Responsibilities:
- Support the school's mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies toward students, parents/guardians and coworkers.
- IEP Development & Implementation: Designing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with unique needs.
- Instructional Support: Adapting general education curriculum, planning lessons, and providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities.
- Progress Monitoring & Data Analysis: Utilizing diagnostic instruments, assessing learning goals, and analyzing data to adjust interventions.
- Collaboration: Working with staff, parents, and administrators to ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws (IDEA).
- Share best practices with other teachers and collaborate with them to improve instructional and assessment practices.
- Interact frequently and respectfully with students/staff.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree
- Valid OH Intervention Specialist License
- Minimum of 5 years Teaching Experience
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation packages are competitive and commensurate with experience.
