Job Summary:
As an outpatient therapist, you will be responsible for providing professional counseling services to individuals, families, and groups at an Outpatient Treatment Facility. Your primary goal will be to support clients in improving their mental health and well-being by utilizing various therapeutic techniques and interventions. The therapist provides direct support to the clients and the Clinical/Operations Team at the facility. The therapist is responsible for evaluating needs, developing treatment plans and goals, monitoring progress, and documenting the progress of clients. The therapist will work closely with the treatment team and clinical director in developing a customized treatment plans.
- Provide all therapy related treatment to clients at an Adolescent Outpatient Treatment Facility.
- Conduct initial assessments, ongoing progress evaluations, and discharge planning for each client.
- Collaborate closely with family and guardians of the adolescent client while developing and implementing treatment plans and goals.
- Conduct individual, family and group outpatient therapy sessions either in person or via telehealth.
- Conduct individual P.H.P., I.O.P., & G.O.P. sessions/P.H.P., I.O.P., & G.O.P group sessions as needed in person or via
- telehealth.
- Contact the Executive Director and Clinical Director immediately for any significant client event.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director and Executive Director frequently.
- Report any unusual client behavior or suspicious activity to the Executive Director and Clinical Director.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements.
- Comply with all Horizon Recovery's policies and procedures.
- Ability to set priorities, maintain accurate medical records on each client in accordance with the master treatment plan goals and Horizon Recovery's policy and procedures.
- Conduct individual, family, and group Outpatient sessions as scheduled with the program.
- Ability to provide documentation and reports to clinical staff or billing staff when required and necessary.
- Be available to help address unscheduled, urgent needs of clients that may develop.
- Produce timely, complete, accurate and thorough medical records in the client’s E.M.R.
- Conduct P.H.P., I.O.P., & G.O.P. sessions as scheduled with the program.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients and co-workers.
- Master’s degree or higher in Counseling or Psychology.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Minimum of 1 year work experience in behavioral health.
- Work experience with the adolescent population.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions, and ability to apply them effectively in individual and group settings.
- Ability to be flexible in developing treatment plans and utilizing a wide range of therapeutic strategies and styles, depending on unique circumstances and client preferences.
- Proven experience in conducting therapy sessions with diverse populations and addressing a wide range of mental health concerns.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to empathize and establish rapport with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to accurately identify client needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively communicate with other healthcare professionals.
- Proficient computer skills for maintaining electronic records and utilizing therapy-related software.

Schedule:
M-F with Flexible schedule, must have availability in some evenings.
