What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Pharmacy Technician position at Horizon Pharmacy, LLC?
Our team is growing, and we are seeking Licensed Pharmacy Technicians to join our organization. Working closely with pharmacists, our technicians are the key to our unique team-based approach simplifying medicine management through trusted, quality relationships with our patients and caregivers throughout the Rhode Island community. We create and nurture trusted relationships that consistently reduce the day-to-day burden for nurses and providers working in long-term facilities.
A successful Technician is a motivated and enthusiastic team player, with a Pharmacy Technician License and a minimum of 1 year experience working in a busy pharmacy. Bi-lingual candidates are a plus!

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Fill prescriptions in multi-dose packaging for clients
- Retrieve the appropriate medication from inventory and create prescription labels and place them on prescription containers
- Perform register activities and daily register maintenance
- Perform computer entry of prescription information including but not limited to patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, insurance billing, problem resolution
- Work in a cycle fill format
- Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years old and High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects and work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines
- A customer service orientation, with professional communication skills
