STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR (SDC)
Hourly, 40 hours per week
This position is responsible for designing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating training programs that strengthen employee performance, support organizational objectives, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws. The role also oversees the maintenance of employee training records, billing documentation, and the staff development budget. In addition, this position supports the management of the agency's electronic documentation system (Quantum) and learning management system (Infinitec), along with other service-related technology, as directed by the supervisor.
JOB DUTIES:
- Lead development and implementation of new hire orientation and onboarding, along with ongoing agency-wide training programs for Direct Support Professionals and management staff, ensuring timely completion.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver in-service trainings and staff development programs to meet organizational standards and evolving needs.
- Oversee staff training on software and technology, and serve as Lead System Administrator for the Infinitec Learning Management System, with support responsibilities for additional platforms.
- Manage training logistics, including researching opportunities, scheduling, tracking attendance, and maintaining accurate training records.
- Support departmental operations by assisting with budget development, authorizing purchases, and participating in professional development activities to enhance skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Associate degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience or High School Diploma and eight (8) years of experience training/teaching people that have developmental disabilities and/or the staff who support them. Proof of education is required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must be comfortable with technology/software systems, have knowledge of adult learning principles, applying and interpreting assessment data, preparing and maintaining accurate records, maintaining confidentiality, and working as part of a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in a Human Services, Education, or related field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year training/teaching people that have developmental disabilities and/or the staff who support them.
