General Manager

A premier marina-anchored resort village nestled along the scenic waters of Middle Tennessee is seeking an experienced, growth-oriented Resort General Manager. Positioned in a vibrant regional destination renowned for its outdoor recreation and easy access to major metropolitan hubs, this location offers an exceptional lifestyle balance where professional autonomy meets a picturesque lakeside setting.

This full-time leadership role is responsible for overseeing multi-faceted resort operations, including marina operations, cottage rentals, an RV resort, and a seasonal wedding venue. The ideal candidate will serve as an owner-operator at heart, driving year-over-year revenue growth, leading a dedicated hospitality team, and elevating the overall guest experience across all operational touchpoints.

Position Responsibilities

• Manage daily property operations across marina facilities, boat rentals, cottage accommodations, RV resort amenities, and event hosting.
• Take full ownership of the property’s P&L, managing budgets, occupancy, rate strategies, labor, and margin optimizations to achieve annual financial targets.
• Lead, recruit, and mentor property staff to cultivate a strong, guest-first culture across all operational departments.
• Maintain high standards of guest service, utilizing property management and reservation systems to monitor performance and maintain positive guest relations.
• Oversee site maintenance, vendor relationships, safety compliance, and seasonal readiness for all land and water facilities.
• Collaborate on targeted marketing initiatives to drive bookings, increase slip occupancy, and maximize event venue utilization throughout the year.

Position Requirements

• Proven executive or general management experience within resort, multi-amenity hospitality, marina, or RV/campground properties.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing property P&L statements and revenue growth strategies.
• Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of team development and staff retention in a hospitality environment.
• Strong operational problem-solving skills with a hands-on management approach.
• Familiarity with property management systems, vendor negotiation, and site compliance regulations.

Compensation Package Details

• Base Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
• Bonus Potential: Up to $20,000 based on net income and revenue performance metrics
• Health Coverage: Group medical, dental, and vision insurance (60% employer-covered premium) with coverage eligibility after 90 days
