Summary
We are seeking a Resident Caregiver/Nursing Assistant to join our team at Horizon Health's Harmony House in Brainerd. In this role, you will provide essential support to our residents by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your contributions will be vital in delivering high-quality care that aligns with our mission of dignity and compassion.
CNA certification differential and per-hour shift differential.
Part Time 8-hour overnight shifts (10p-6a), including every other weekend and rotating holidays
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and document residents' health status and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents at all times.
- Assist with mobility needs including lifting or transferring residents when necessary.
- Support dementia care initiatives by engaging residents in appropriate activities.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred but not required (hourly differential for valid certification).
- Strong understanding of basic healthcare practices.
- Experience in home care or assisted living settings is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents and families.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility needs.
