As a PRN Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this flexible role, you will assist with community integration and inclusion, offer guidance to individuals and their support networks, and help create meaningful opportunities for participation in community activities.
You will ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of individuals living in our residential setting by providing proper supervision and support.
This PRN position is specifically designed for those who are available to pick up shifts as needed during the holiday season, when staffing needs increase. Additional opportunities to continue providing PRN support will be available after the holidays as well.

Qualifications
Qualifications Required
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, MVD report and reliable transportation.
- Ability to prepare required paperwork to support and document activities in the contractually required timelines.
- Ability to type and working knowledge/familiarity with computers and electronic clinical record keeping.
- Ability to successfully complete certification and trainings for First Aid, CPR, Article 9, Medication, and Prevention/Support, Direct Care Worker and any other required training. The agency will provide training if the candidate does not possess.
- Able to operate independently with minimal oversight.
- Demonstrated skills to ensure respectful communication to participants and coworkers.
- Must obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and pass a background check along with Central Registry Clearance.
- Willingness to work a flexible PRN schedule, including picking up shifts during the holiday season, and working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Sign Language.
- Prior experience in Habilitation or Rehabilitation
- Two years of experience in a person-centered community integration program assisting persons with developmental and/or psychiatric disabilities.
- Two years of experience in habilitation/rehabilitative assistance to persons with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities
- Very strong interpersonal skills
