Mental Health Worker
Horizon Health and Subacute, a Generations Healthcare facility is searching for a Mental Health Worker. This opportunity is a great steppingstone into the field of Behavioral Health. If you are a student majoring in sociology, psychology or taking the prerequisites of any mental health driven major; this position will offer practical experience in your field of study!
Key Responsibilities:
- Escort clients timely to groups and record participation ensuring that groups maintain a 1:6 ratio.
- Record client group participation on tracking calendar.
- Pass out and collect tracking calendar weekly.
- Total tracking calendar weekly and log into medical record.
- Facilitate groups and activities as assigned.
- Lead community meeting daily.
- Encourage client attendance to groups and participation.
- Ensure and assist clients to complete forms properly and timely.
- Document interventions and interactions with clients in the medical record.
- Report changes in behavior to charge nurse and Program Counselor.
Requirements:
- Current community college or university student with interest in behavioral health
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
