Position Overview:
Horizon Maybrook is seeking a full-time Clinical Medical Assistant to join our friendly and patient-focused primary care team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both the clinical and front desk sides of healthcare. The ideal candidate will have experience in both clinical support (MA) and preferably front desk operations. Looking for someone compassionate, organized, and eager to contribute to a supportive environment that values teamwork, quality care, and professional growth.
Must be willing to travel between Maybrook and New Windsor, NY location as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- A medical assistant who can also work/train for front desk.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs (triage patients), medical histories, and assisting with patient intake.
-Perform routine laboratory tests (venipuncture), specimen collections as directed by the physician.
- Perform EKG's, nasal swabs, etc...
-Respond to patient inquiries and follow up on test results and treatment plans
-Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and clean examination rooms.
-This position does also includes one day a week of working at the front desk answering multi-line phone calls, scheduling appointments, insurance verifications and etc...
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and office policies.
Qualifications:
Medical office experience a must, Clinical and phlebotomy experience preferred
The ideal candidate must have the ability to multitask, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and handle a high volume of patients, with compassion and empathy.
Minimum experience required as MA: 6 Months
Proficient in Vital signs: Required
Phlebotomy experience Preferred (will train)
Receptionist experience: preferred (will train)
