Position Summary
Horizon Education Centers is seeking an experienced, self-starter, results-driven Center Director to lead our North Olmsted flagship campus to full enrollment. This leadership role oversees a large, multi-program center and requires a strong focus on enrollment growth, staff leadership, and compliance excellence. Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and daily management of the center

Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing staff

Drive enrollment growth and retention

Ensure compliance with Ohio licensing regulations

Maintain Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) Gold rating standards

Avoid serious and moderate licensing risks

Foster relationships with families and the community

Oversee programming from infant through school-age
Qualifications:
-
Three to Five years of administrative experience in a medium to large DCY center is required
-
A minimum Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Proven success in enrollment growth, staff leadership, and compliance. Strong child care leadership success will be weighted over education.

DCY Administrator Rules training is required and must be completed upon hire if not already qualified

Willingness to update job knowledge with required training, DCY licensing rules and Ohio Approved professional development opportunities, and industry trends

Has the ability to build positive relationships with coworkers, families, vendors, and the community through prompt and accurate response and service, cheerful and professional attitude, and problem-solving spirit

Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills; and be able to expertly deal with internal and external individuals in a positive manner

Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Must be able to multitask and have strong detail-oriented, time management, and organizational skills

Must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively as an active part of a team

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and other software programs; with an emphasis on Excel

Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs. as required

Must be able to pass background checks and physical/ medical screening as required
Compensation & Employee Benefits:

Base Salary: $70,000 – $75,000

Bonus Opportunity: Up to $21,000 annually
