Description This full-time, on-site B2B Outside Sales Representative role is based in Trenton, NJ. The individual in this role will generate new business by prospecting commercial and industrial clients, conducting on-site visits, and presenting tailored waste and recycling solutions. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining long-term customer relationships, preparing and delivering sales presentations, and managing the sales pipeline from initial contact through contract negotiation and closing. The role also involves working closely with operations and dispatch teams to ensure accurate service proposals, timely service start-up, and ongoing customer support. The B2B Outside Sales Representative will track performance metrics, update CRM records, stay informed about industry trends and sustainability programs such as LEED, and represent Horizon Disposal at networking events and industry functions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong sales presentations and communication skills for engaging prospective clients and clearly explaining service offerings.
- Candidates should possess relationship building and customer service skills to develop long-term partnerships and provide responsive support.
- Candidates should possess new business development experience, including prospecting, cold calling, and closing sales in B2B environments.
- Basic knowledge of waste management or recycling services, or a strong interest in learning industry practices and sustainability standards preferred
- Candidates should possess skills in CRM usage, territory management, and sales reporting to organize activities and track results effectively.
- Previous outside sales experience, preferably in industrial services, transportation, or environmental services, is strongly preferred.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation for client visits, and the ability to work primarily in the field are required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
