Job Description:
We are seeking a licensed and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dental team. The RDH will play a key role in promoting oral health by providing preventative dental care, educating patients, and supporting the dentist in delivering high-quality treatment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to patient comfort and care.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and plaque/calculus removal
· Conduct oral health assessments and document patient conditions
· Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with state regulations
· Screen for signs of periodontal disease, oral cancer, and other oral health issues
· Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care
· Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants as appropriate
· Maintain accurate patient records and charting
· Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines
· Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed
· Ensure a positive and comfortable patient experience
Qualifications:
· Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Pennsylvania
· Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
· Current CPR/BLS certification
· Local anesthesia certification
· Knowledge of dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix Ascend) preferred
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Attention to detail and commitment to patient care
