Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and self-motivated Psychotherapist to join our team. This role is ideal for a clinician who values autonomy, collaboration, and a person-centered approach to therapy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
• Provide psychotherapy using various modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on issues such as grief, addiction, PTSD care, and crisis management.
• Engage in crisis intervention and behavior management strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in clinical research and data collection to enhance therapeutic practices.

Skills

• Proficient in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral therapy.
• Experience working with children and families in clinical settings.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention and management strategies.
• Ability to conduct intake assessments and case management effectively.
• Maintain timely and appropriate EMR documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in supervision or consultation as required by licensure.
• Competence in group therapy facilitation and individual counseling approaches.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Current, active license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LLP, MLP, PsyD LP, PhD LP) in Michigan.
• Minimum of 1 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
• Openness to learning electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Compassionate, culturally sensitive, and client-focused approach.
