As a Residential Financial Resource Specialist at Horizon, you will…

• Assist residents in residential treatment to secure financial resources by working with Dept. of Social Services, Veteran’s Affairs, Social Security Administration as well as NYS Healthcare Market Place.
• Act as a liaison between clients and Dept. of Social Services
• Appeal benefit denials
• Assist in discharge planning for residents
• Assist clients as well as outpatient staff with insurance issues
• Complete insurance eligibility checks

-              Bachelors Degree in related field preferred.

OR

-              Associates Degree with 1 year of human services experience required.

OR

-              High School Diploma with 3 years of human services experience required.

Location:

This position is located at 291 Elm St, Buffalo NY.

Hours:

This position is Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Compensation 

Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $19.38 - $20.00. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include:  

• Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting
• Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements
• Handling light duties, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds
