POSITION SUMMARY
As ambassadors of the Bank’s culture of YES, Universal Bankers create exceptional customer experiences by delivering responsive service, building relationships, and making banking easy for every customer interaction.
This role serves as an integral part of the branch operations team by supporting customer needs, opening accounts, processing transactions, and collaborating across departments to ensure operational excellence. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
We are currently seeking energetic, service-driven individuals to join our Holland, Salado, and new Downtown Temple branch teams. These are an in-person role where every day offers the opportunity to connect with customers, grow professionally, and make a meaningful impact.
WHAT WILL I DO?
Customer Experience & Relationship Building
- Greet customers and visitors in person and over the phone with a welcoming, professional approach.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by identifying needs and providing solutions that support customer goals.
- Build lasting customer relationships through trust, responsiveness, and proactive service.
- Assist customers with account inquiries and educate them on available products and services.
Account Opening & Service Support
- Open consumer and business accounts while ensuring required documentation is collected and regulatory requirements are met.
- Support account servicing requests including debit card requests, check orders, account maintenance, and safe deposit box access.
- Assist customers with digital banking and other self-service tools.
Transaction & Branch Operations
- Support teller operations as needed, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage incoming calls and direct requests to appropriate departments or team members.
- Contribute to branch operations and support team initiatives that improve efficiency and customer experience.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accuracy of customer documentation and transaction processing.
- Demonstrate awareness of fraud prevention practices and escalate concerns appropriately.
Other duties as assigned and/or taken on.

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of banking, customer service, cash handling, or related experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated initiative and commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences.
Preferred:
- Experience opening consumer and business accounts.
- Experience working in a branch environment.
- Familiarity with digital banking platforms.
