What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banker In-Training position at Horizon Bank Texas?
As a Banker In-Training, you will build a foundation for your career, developing the tools and skills necessary for professional growth while playing a key role in the organization. You will learn how we built the #1 Austin-based commercial bank and gain experience in customer experience, bank systems, and operations. Those in this position are encouraged to learn what it means to succeed in banking; become familiar with banking concepts and processes; build key relationships; and develop both financial and customer service skills.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
We designed our Banker In-Training position to provide work experience within our team(s) and develop future Bank leaders. In this role you’ll focus on key disciplines such as bank operations, customer relations, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Key highlights include:
- Learning bank operations and systems.
- Exposure to senior leaders.
- Performance feedback and coaching.
- Leadership and professional development opportunities.
- Social and team-building opportunities.
This role focuses on practical hands-on learning and provides the opportunity to gain an understanding of Horizon Bank’s culture, develop leadership skills, and learn the banking industry.
