Bilingual Paraeducator (English/Spanish) Horicon School District is seeking a Bilingual Paraeducator to support students in both general education and special education settings. This position plays a vital role in helping students access instruction, build confidence, and achieve academic success. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, enjoys working with children, communicates effectively with students and families, and is committed to supporting the diverse needs of all learners. Position Responsibilities General Education Classroom Support (8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) Provide instructional support to students in the classroom. Assist teachers with small-group and individual instruction. Support English Learners in accessing classroom curriculum. Reinforce academic concepts and classroom expectations. Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Assist with classroom organization and preparation of instructional materials. Resource Specialist Program (RSP) Support (12:40 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.) Provide academic and behavioral support to students receiving special education services. Work with individual students and small groups under the direction of the Resource Specialist Teacher. Assist with the implementation of IEP accommodations and modifications. Support student engagement, organization, and independence. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information. Minimum Qualifications Fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking required). High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
